The Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) division at Hackensack University Medical Center is seeking board-certified/board-eligible pediatric emergency medicine physicians to join our dynamic team. We offer a diverse and collaborative environment with opportunities for leadership in clinical operations, medical education, quality improvement, and research.
Practice Details:
- Full-time or part-time clinical faculty positions are available.
- Located at Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital, the largest children’s hospital in New Jersey, within the Hackensack Meridian Health Network in Hackensack, NJ.
- Serve a diverse patient population with a wide range of clinical needs.
- High-volume ED with approximately 45,000 annual patient visits, offering a mix of high and low acuity cases.
- Designated Level II Pediatric Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons.
- 15-bed PICU with 24/7 intensivist coverage.
- Robust subspecialty support is readily available.
- Double PEM physician coverage for high-acuity patients in the main ED.
- Dedicated fast-track area with additional provider coverage for ESI levels 4 and 5.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, timely, and consistent care.

Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited pediatric emergency medicine residency program.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
COMPENSATION:
Starting Base Salary: $226,554

Geographic Location: Cost of living and market rates for the specific location.
Internal Equity: Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the specialty and/or sub-specialty.
Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered.
